“TEM-SCAN” Center for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment
The “TEM-SCAN” Center for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment operates at the Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The primary objective of the Center is to ensure the most efficient use of imported scientific instruments, including: JEM-2100F, JEM-100CX II, AXIA Thermo Fisher Scientific, Superprobe 733, and JAMP-10S.
The main mission of the “TEM-SCAN” Center is to provide scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with the opportunity to conduct research using state-of-the-art equipment operated by qualified personnel. The staff ensures the high-quality maintenance of the equipment and provides expert consulting services.
By the order of the Director of the IPM NAS of Ukraine, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine S.O. Firstov has been appointed as the Head of the “TEM-SCAN” Center.
The Center’s operations involve five research scientists from the Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of the NAS of Ukraine.

By the order of the Director of the IPM NAS of Ukraine, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Yu.M. Solonin has been appointed as the Head of the “UHV-ANALYSIS-SYSTEM” Center.
The Center’s operations involve three research scientists from the Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of the NAS of Ukraine.

- Creation of new materials using solar radiation;
- Testing of materials under extreme conditions;

- Organizing educational seminars, schools, and conferences on solar energy topics;
- Promotion of “green energy”
